Ask Alabama legislators to reject HB303 and SB219

It’s happening again. The extremists are targeting trans youth. This time, right here in Alabama. They want to put doctors in jail simply for providing best-practice care to transgender youth.

Being a kid is hard enough. We should be making it easier, not harder. These bills are unfair and would harm trans youth. We will fight for every single one of Alabama young people because they deserve respect and dignity like anyone else.

The time to act is NOW - let your legislators know that they must reject these discriminatory bills that would harm vulnerable trans youth.

The letter provided below is a sample template. Please change it to personalize it to your views and concerns. Here are a few key pieces of information you may wish to reference:

  • Being a kid is hard enough. We should be making it easier, not harder.
  • These bills would punish doctors for providing care to trans youth who desperately need it.
  • Passing bills like HB303 and SB219 would embolden other discriminatory laws to be passed across the state, putting transgender people in harm’s way, yet again.

Don’t let a few extremist politicians put trans kids and teens at risk.
